Virgen de Providencia
Sunday, October 16, 2003 we will celebrate La Virgen de Providencia, patroness
of Puerto Rico, at the 11:30 AM Mass which will be bilingual. There will
be a party afterwards in the Parish Hall. Thank you for your cooperation
with the Providencia food sale. The profit was $702.00

Seniors
Wednesday, November 19, Saint Cecilia's Seniors will meet at 1:00 PM in
the Parish Center to share their Thanksgiving meal.

Saturday, November 22nd is the Feast of St. Cecilia. At 5:30 P.M., we
will have a billingual Mass and we are inviting people in the neighborhood
to come celebrate with us. After the Mass there will be refreshments and
a chance to know more about what happens in our parish. Come and See.
Parish
Renewal
Rev. Gerard Brinkmann C.Ss.R. will be preaching at the Sunday Mass on
Sunday, November 23, inviting us to take part in a Parish Mission. The
Missionary Sisters of Perpetual Help will visit homes November 25-29.
Saturday, November 29th, at 12:10 P.M. there will be a billingual Mass
of healing with anoiting of the sick. Home meetings will be held November
30-December 6. Preaching in the church December 6-December 10. Come and
See.
Thanksgiving
Thursday, November 27, we will celebrate Thanksgiving at our 10:00 A.M.
billingual Mass. Please bring rice and beans for the collection.

Next weekend we participate in the special Collection for the Catholic
Campaign for Human Development. For 33 Years, this initiative of the Catholic
Church has worked to address the root causes of poverty. The Campaign
has funded thousands of projects nationally and more than 100 in the Archdiocese
of New York that have empowered people to work together to solve community
problems, create jobs and build affordable housing. The Campaign gives
us an opportunity to respond to the Gospel's call to solidarity with the
poor. Please give generously.
